Downside? South Park Studios is geolocked to the good old US of A only.
Bad enough they had to invade us in the movie, but now this. Though the site does seem to suggest that it's "coming soon". Oh well, par for the course.
Upside? The other 6 billion of us can at least use the Avatar Creator. Though the Simpsons avatar creator is much better than the South Park one.
My on going odyssey (and yes I'm being melodramatic) with Canon support has finally ended. The good, the bad and me ugly follows.
After a week of Canon support telling me they had not entered my camera in the system yet (the second time in a week I sent it in for repair) and therefore could not give me a status update, today they tell me it's out for delivery. I mean I called yesterday and no news. But today it's waiting at the Purolator depot. Well at least I got the camera back tonight and it's like new. From what Canon support told me over the phone it looks like they replaced the entire shutter button assembly. I wish they had done that the first time.
Returning my camera also got me moving to MRA my Lexar 2GB SD card that had an intermittent problem and I should receive a replacement sometime in the next month (hopefully).
On a side note... during this whole time with my camera in the shop, I misplaced my SanDisk Ultra II 2GB SD car. Which let me tell you had led to some frantic searching over the house to find it.
Show us a picture of you when you were a baby.

Today at daycare was their Christmas day. So everyone was in PJ's, and a play and Santa were also planned. The boys were in Spider-Man PJ's (as you can see).
The doctor says Carts' is fine and on the mend, so that's a relief. After dropping him back at daycare, my mom's car (that we are borrowing while we pass judgement on the fate of the family van, just passed a historic mile stone) refused to start.
It got towed and luckily my father in-law lent me his car so I can get around for today and tomorrow.
Thanks to the afore mentioned generosity of my father in-law I was then able get back to the daycare and see Santa making the rounds. Though I did get there too late to see ET get his gift. I spent two hours in their classes and it was great to get to know their friends a little bit better and see how good they can be when they want to. I also kind of got roped into doing some face painting on a few kids in ET's class but unfortunately we had to leave before we got to everyone.
My niece Jade is in Carts' class also but she was a little scared of Santa. Ethan was the same his second Christmas. Of course there was a girl in their class that was frea-keen-ing out. She just hid in the back of the class. Hopefully next year she's over her fear of Santa. Kids that small usually haven't made the correlation between Santa and Christmas morning yet.
Happy anniversary Donna I love you!
Ethan is really looking forward to Halloween this year and tells us about how he's going to get candy and dress as Thomas the Tank Engine at night. He's going as Buzz Lightyear at daycare and Carter is going as sheriff Woody. I can't wait to see them dressed up!
We spent our first real family vacation (just the four of us) in Lake George the second weekend of September.
Thanks to our LaRonde season passes and parking pass (that are valid there also) we went the Great Escape. The boys loved the little houses and kept running from one to the other and back again. And Ethan loved the big shoe house.
It was antique car weekend at Lake George which was an added bonus for Ethan due to our usual Thursday outings. On Saturday night we headed into the village for dinner and saw all the people sitting on the side of the road to watch the cars driving by. It was crazy with so many people on the road.
We ended up having dinner at McDonald's (I can't wait till the boys want to eat real food) and then parked ourselves out on the street to see all the cars parading pass. After the fortieth car I stopped taking photos.
They had closed of the main street and had the cars driving around town in a looping pattern for a few hours. They were doing burn outs and reeving the engines and the smog cloud that was created was pretty thick. I'm sure it rivaled rush hour in any major city. It didn't help that all the cars were 30 plus years old and not the most fuel efficient vehicles to start with. You almost wanted to cough.
We walked up and down the main street watching the cars go by doing some window shopping and checking out the sights. It was around there that Carter fell asleep. He must have been really tried to fall asleep with all the noise from the cars.
We heard that there was going to be fire works so we went down to the beach, got some ice cream and saw a pretty good show. I don't think I've even been that close (and we were close) to such a good show before. I don't count the international fireworks show at LaRonde ever year since I've only watched that from across the river on the south shore.
It was really a great trip. Ethan and Carter had such a great time and were very well behaved (except the meal times that had a little drama). This is definitely going to be a yearly event.
I was secretly on the hunt to check out an iPhone but no such luck, of course I didn't go searching very hard. But I did get to check out the new fatty Nano's.
